How I got into wakeboarding? My buddies that I used to barefoot, kneeboard, and slalom with bought a
wakeboard(directional w/ bungies) and said I needed to try it, because I could probably do one of those flip
thingies. That was in fall of 1993 and by 1995 all I did was wakeboard. I got to meet some friends who
helped me a lot as I improved, Roberto Rueda(1995 junior mens world champion), Scott Byerly, Drew
McGuckin, Shaun Murray, Dean Lavelle, Darin Shapiro and Bob Sly(Helped me get to FL. to ride during the
winter before turning pro). In 96' I won the national and world title for men's II and in 97' I repeated the
world title in men's II. 98' was my rookie year on the pro tour and at 31 I finished in the overall top ten in 2001.

Whats going on in my world these days? These days I do a bus tour in the summer months on the east side.
I also do private lessons in FL. at home. I do still hit a few contest, because I know it keeps my skill
level challenged to continue to keep learning new stuff. I love free riding behind my 23 lsv
wakesetter, especially with a boat load of people,or for a photo shoot or a new video. I feel blessed each day
I get to ride, because I never knew it was going to be like this.

The cool thing with wakeboarding is nobody becomes great by themselves. It takes the help of others and
it's mainly friends and family. It's fun and I'm very grateful for what I get to do. Thank you everyone and
thank you Jesus my creator and savior.
