GATORBOARDS IN TEXAS!
Fort Worth, Tex. – The MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink continues its season-long points chase with its second stop of the 2011 season, held in Fort Worth, Tex. All the high-flying, rail-sliding water-sports action will take place on Texas MasterCraft’s private lake,Lake Moser, where the sport’s top pros will compete for a cash purse and points toward the season standings for the coveted Pro Tour title.

Wakeboarding phenom Harley Clifford enters Fort Worth as the top-seeded rider in the Pro Men’s division, after taking first place at the Pro Tour’s season opener in Acworth, Ga. The talented, young Aussie threw down two different 900 variations, as well as a front mobe 540 to beat out current Pro Tour titlist Phillip Soven and rookie sensation Steel Lafferty, who rounded out the top three in Acworth, respectively.

Clifford will look to extend his lead with a win in Fort Worth, where he first made headlines in 2009, when the then 15-year-old rookie became the youngest rider to win a Pro Tour stop in the Pro Men’s division.

Also entering Fort Worth as the top-seeded rider, Aussie Amber Wing paces the Pro Women’s division, with 190 points in the Queen of Wake standings. California’s Melissa Marquardt trails close behind with 160 points, after winning her first-ever Pro Tour stop during the Acworth contest.

While both Wing and Marquardt are considered the frontrunners in Fort Worth, the Pro Women’s division should not count out Nicola Butler, who has won the past three consecutive tour stops at Texas MasterCraft.

In the Jr. Pro Men’s division, 17-year-old Japanese standout Shota Tezuka will look to capitalize on the momentum of his recent win in Acworth. Tezuka, who just became the first Japanese-born rider to win a Pro Tour event, will look to prove that his recent victory wasn’t a fluke by taking the top spot in Fort Worth.

The first two days of action in Fort Worth feature qualifying rounds for riders, and is free to the public to watch. Saturday, June 4 will be a ticketed event beginning at 10:30 a.m. and ending at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 2 will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday’s event will run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Tickets are available at the gate: $13 (adult); $5 (ages 6-12); free (ages 5 and under); or $7 (adult) if purchased online.
